The development team is small with significant responsibility and visibility for each member.  The candidate should have a positive attitude and a high aptitude for solving complex business and technical problems and dealing with challenging schedules.  This position is required to work closely with the various business units, and occasionally external vendors such as banks and software providers.  The candidate is expected to be a self-starter and team player, with a strong drive for results and continuous improvement. The responsibilities include development and support for our client’s current billing, payment, and collections system throughout all phases of the development cycle.  This position requires a minimum of 5 years billing/financial development and support experience, excellent communication skills and business knowledge. </p>
<p>Experience in Kenan FX (Kenan Arbor/BP) billing systems<br />
5+ years of development and support experience, preferably financial, billing or payment applications<br />
3+ years of development or configuration experience in Kenan (Arbor/BP) billing system. Familiar in the<br />
configuration of rating, invoicing, journals, etc.<br />
3+ years experience with running and troubleshooting the operational processes within Kenan (Arbor/BP)<br />
billing system.  Including invoicing, journals, batch payments, collections.<br />
Experience with Kenan FX API development is big plus<br />
Experience in Object Oriented Development with Perl, Java, XML, Web Services, and XSL is a big plus.<br />
Good knowledge of Oracle database and scripting, PL/SQL<br />

<p>Successful applicants will be involved in the translating of requirements into Kenan Arbor configuration options, usage processing and billing. As such previous experience of this is highly desired. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client is looking for candidates with at least 3 years commercial experience in software development, key member of R&#038;D team (technical leader, analyst, senior SW developer) and at least 1 year experience in workgroup, preferably with the Telecoms sector. </p>
<p>They should have at least a basic level of computer science, software engineering, C/C++ object-oriented programming and/or Java (JSE, JEE) programming skills and experience with Unix/Linux OS as a user.</p>
<p>Successful applicants should have good organization skills, with a willingness to learn and a higher tier technical education or masters’ degree in a related subject would be a minimum requirement, plus a good knowledge of UML and software development.</p>
<p>Ideally the candidate should be Polish native, but with a high level of both spoken and written English.</p>
<p>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are a must, with the potential to employ creative thinking in order to solve any problems that might arise.</p>

There is a lot of very stiff competition for most jobs at the moment, so how do you go about giving yourself the best chance of getting that job?. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Be prepared</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Find out what format the interview will take &#8211; one-to-one, group session, will there be tests?</li>
<li>Read the job specification. If you haven&#8217;t been provided with one, ensure you are briefed thoroughly by your consultant.</li>
<li>Make sure you know what you have written on your CV and that you can discuss your education, experience and achievements confidently.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Research the company</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Before you go for an interview find out as much as you can about the organisation.</li>
<li>Good sources of information include annual reports, company brochures, company websites and the press.</li>
<li>Raise relevant points during the interview and ask questions. It shows you are interested and inquisitive.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>3. First impressions count</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Turn up on time.</li>
<li>Dress smartly.</li>
<li>Be positive and enthusiastic.</li>
<li>Be honest and do not criticise previous employers or companies.</li>

<li>Do not lie on your CV or during the interview. You will get found out. If a prospective employer cannot trust you now, how can they be expected to when you are working for them?</li>
<li>Be yourself and if you do not know the answer, admit it and suggest a solution to the problem.</li>
<li>Be honest to yourself when completing psychometric tests. Don&#8217;t try and give the answers you think the employer wants.</li>

<p><strong>6. Focus on your achievements</strong></p>

<li>Where you can, quantify your achievements.</li>
<li>Give real examples that demonstrate your skills.</li>
<li>If there are any negative points, put a positive twist on them.</li>

<li>Turn your mobile phone off.</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t smoke before you go in.</li>

<p>Your CV is your presentation tool to promote and market yourself to employees. It needs to look professional, reads clearly and sends out a message which says this candidate is an experienced professional.  It must be able to maintain the reader&#8217;s attention which will be done by providing sufficient detail and relevant information to interest them enough to invite you for an interview.</p>
<p>It is almost impossible to say what goes to make the perfect CV, however there are some simple guidelines that can be followed to give your CV the best chance of being picked out.</p>
<p><strong>CV Content</strong><br />
Your CV should include the following basic information:</p>
<p><strong>Personal Details</strong></p>

<li>Your date of birth</li>

This should be short, direct but informative, and it is a really good opportunity to sell yourself. You should include your professional status with career highlights, skills, strengths and career ambitions.</p>
<p><strong>Your Employment History</strong><br />
List in chronological order with current/most recent position first, which should include the most detail. Include a brief description of the role and bullet points on your key responsibilities/achievements.</p>
<p><strong>Your Education History</strong><br />
List the most recent first and only list relevant education (not school qualifications unless you have just graduated).</p>
<p><strong>Interests and Achievements</strong><br />
include a brief list of your main hobbies and interests.</p>

Do not give details. Simply state &#8216;available on request&#8217;</p>
